| Abstract. | Problem statement: in the operating conditions of buildings, differential settlement of the foundations often takes place, which leads to a change in the stress-strain state of the floor structures, their damage and decrease in operational characteristics. At the same time, existing approaches to the examination of such structures are often fragmented and do not provide a comprehensive assessment of the causes and consequences of deformations. The purpose of the study: to develop an algorithm for increasing the life cycle of floor structures based upon the engineering and economical comparison of different ways of their construction. Research tasks: to identify the signs and causes of floors settlement; development of an algorithm for the examination of floors in case of settlement detection; development of an economic justification for the construction of new floors based on the results of the survey. The results of the study. The article discusses the issues of floor structures examination in operated buildings in the presence of signs of differential settlement. The analysis of the main causes of deformations related to the condition of the soil base, exposure to moisture and operational loads has been performed. Based on practical experience, an algorithm for floors examination has been developed, which includes the stages of preliminary and detailed examination, instrumental measurements, in-house processing of results and analysis of the defects causes. The economic justification of measures to eliminate the causes of floors differential settlement is based on the assessment of the life cycle cost (LCC) of various options for installing a new floor. |
