| Abstract. | Booth theaters were theaters for the people, they reflected the cultural level of the population, national traditions and economic development of the cities of the Russian Empire. The relevance of the study lies in the insufficient study of this topic. Previously booth theaters were considered only within the framework of the Russian state, regional features were not identified. The aim of the work is to identify the architectural, planning and stylistic features of booth theaters of Kazan in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The tasks of the study: 1. To study the location of booth theaters under study in the structure of the city of Kazan in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. 2. To identify the architectural, planning and stylistic solutions of booth theaters of Kazan in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. 3. To compare the architectural planning and stylistic solutions of booth theaters in Kazan and other large cities of Russia in the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries. Results. As a result of the study, the architectural and spatial, architectural planning and stylistic features of booth theaters in Kazan in the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries were determined. A comparison of the architectural and spatial, architectural planning and stylistic features of booth theaters in Kazan and other large cities of the Russian Empire in the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries was made. The conclusions of the study allow us to identify general trends and regional specifics of booth theaters in Kazan in the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries. |
