| Abstract. | Problem statement. The purpose of the study is to search for and determine the historical and cultural identity of a fragment of the historical center of the city of Kazan (Yamskaya Sloboda), by highlighting the lost functions and features of the environment, as well as further developing recommendations for renovating the site in modern socio-economic and cultural conditions. Results. Methods have been developed for the preservation, recreation and development of the historical and cultural identity of a fragment of the historical center of Kazan on the example of the territory of the Yamskaya Sloboda. Conclusions. The significance of the results obtained for the construction industry and urban planning practice lies in the possibility of applying the revealed principles of organizing space within the framework of the reconstruction and integrated development of the territory of the Yamskaya Sloboda of the historical settlement of Kazan, taking into account the value and degree of preservation of its individual fragments. |
