| Abstract. | Kazan is one of the historical centers of Russia – a city with a millennial history. In the city there are more than 1000 monuments. In this article the authors on the basis of technical and historical-cultural research [1] discloses the formation of the architectural appearance of trading rows «Bread Square, Kazan». Trade rows were the part of the complex «Bread Bazaar, which was built by the architect V.I. Kaftyreva in 1796 and is a monument of architecture of XVIII century. First place «trading ranges» recorded on the plan of the city in 1740 as «corn trade». In accordance with the master plan on the site of the old Corn of the trade» Week after has designed a new «Grain size» [2], which was located within the block bounded by streets Bauman, Profsoyuznay, M. Jalil, K. Kadimi (figure 1). |
