Title of the article | Tolerance of confessions in the architecture of the «Temple of All Religions» in Kazan |
Abstract. | Problem statement. The purpose of the work is a comprehensive study of buildings and structures in the Temple of All Religions, the study of its architectural features and the historical and cultural significance of the complex. On the instructions of the RT leadership, authors of the study carried out an assessment of the technical condition of the bearing skeleton of the erected part of the complex and made an analytical review of all the dome-conical forms of the cover, originally placed by I. Khanov above the roof of the complex. Results. The results of the study of the object of cultural heritage «The Temple of All Religions» are given. Review and analysis of the visual series of analogues with which I. Khanov formed the image of dome-conical systems, tolerantly placed on the cover of the temple. Conclusions. I. Khanov creatively processed the most characteristic features of the religious architecture of various religious denominations, turning them into distinctive recognizable symbols and not striving for typological plausibility. After all, he did not create a temple, but embodied in architectural forms the idea of spiritual unification of people of different faiths. This «bouquet» of domes, heads, towers, tents and is designed for perception from the outside, and therefore attracts the eyes of many tourists. The forms of towers, domes and their architectural and decorative design are what the author of the complex saw them. This is the peculiarity and value of this complex. |
