Title of the article | Improving the method of laying paving slabs |
Abstract. | Problem statement. The purpose of the research is to improve the quality of paving sidewalk tile by improving the method of its installation, extending the service life of tiled road surfaces (sidewalks, squares, paths) and reducing the financial costs of the paving works and their further maintenance. Results. The main results of the study consist in the modernization of the gripper body of a typical stacker and its additional equipment with an additional mounted mechanism for feeding the dry mix and distributing it in the gaps between the tiles. The proposed modernization improves the performance of the paver and minimizes human participation in the process of laying paving slabs. As a result of applying the stacker with the proposed gripping body, a higher level of reliability of the laid paving slabs of the road surface is ensured, minimizing the occurrence of cracks and chips from loads, not only when pedestrians pass, but also when driving light vehicles on wheels. Conclusions. The significance of the results obtained for the road construction industry is to improve the quality of paved paving surfaces through the use of a modernized and retrofit standard stacker. |
