Title of the article | RESULTS OF NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF SANDWICH PANEL TECHNOLOGICAL JOINTS IN THE MIDDLE LAYER |
Abstract. | In the manufacture of sandwich panels with a metal shell and the middle layer of polystyrene foam sheets in a continuous technology, the final panel a joint cross-layer medium, which is located at random along the length of the panel. One of the limiting conditions of sandwich structures under transverse stress is the local loss of stability of the compressed shell. The article presents the results of numerical studies of models of sandwich panels. Consider options for models with different location of the junction length. The dependencies between coordinates of the junction and the bearing capacity of the panel. We show that loss of stability occurs in the compressed shell panels with joints, located in the middle part (1/4-1/3 to 1/2 span) and panels without the junction. Panel interface with the loss of stability occurs at the place of the junction. These results have good convergence with the data previously carried out experimental and theoretical studies. |
