| Abstract. | The object of the cultural heritage «Former Lyadsky Garden (Letskoy Garden), the first half of the XIX-early XX centuries» was founded in 1869-1870’s. Letskoy Garden’s history is about 146 years by 2015. This article describes integrated research on the origin and development of historic urban public Letskoy Garden. Field studies were made. Complex researches are presented in a brief historical reference form. The historical reference reflects the history of formation and development of the Letskoy Garden. Four chronological periods (stages) of Letskoy Garden’s territory’s formation and development were identified. Object’s characteristics were structured by overall structure, functional purpose, the nature of the relief planning structure of the garden, access to visits, a list of buildings and structures was compiled. In general, this object of cultural heritage is a typical example of the city's public gardens of the late XIX-early XX centuries, with a typical planning structure, prevalent in Russia. Historical information became the basis in practice – for project proposal and implementation of the reconstruction of the historic public garden in a historic center of Kazan. The theoretical conclusions turned into practical results – re-creation of the historic fountain. Theoretical studies are object of interest to ethnographers, historians, architects, both in theory and history of the city of Kazan, and at the level of the Russian regional experience in park and urban gardens construction. |
