Abstract. | While reconstructing buildings one of the design problems is calculation of elements of strengthening by methods at most reflecting the actual structural behaviour. A suggested approach is based on the flat cross-section hypothesis. The cross-section of an element is divided into areas. Relative deformations of elements for each area are expressed through curvature and initial deformations. The latest are the unknown in the system of equilibrium equation. To take into account historical data of loading it is suggested to use two-step calculation: before and after strengthening. For non-linear relation between deformations and stress is taken a relation recommended in European standards EKB-FIP. The results of calculation under the suggested approach give rather high precision with the results of experimental research. |
