| Abstract. | Architect develops its own idea of the spatial relationship of the pre-analysis stage to the stage of project documentation. Architectural design is a creative act, it expresses the spatial and compositional idea of the designer. An integrated approach, typical for ergonomics, enables to take into account comprehensive set of factors to human life and thus opens up the possibility of improving the design work. The human factor influences on the creation of architectural - spatial model and defines the human qualities in the architecture. In this article formulated stages of the design process at the stage of the sketch, made the analysis of design methods in modern educational plan. Ergonomics solves many problems akin to the design process. Ergonomic approach in architectural design has to link it with many branches of human knowledge and practice. Use of knowledge of the perception psychology, physiology and anthropometry become necessary in a modern architectural design practice.
