| Title of the article | Investigation of transport risks and patterns of their change in the Volga federal district of the Russian Federation |
| Abstract. | The purpose of work is to investigate the level of accidents in the Volga Federal district of the Russian Federation and to identify the main areas of road safety. The level of road safety determined, first of all, the number of deaths in road accidents. To analyze the state of security in the regions of the Volga Federal district of the Russian Federation was used relative accident – transport risk (number of killed in road accidents on 100 thousands vehicles). Research of transport risks showed that the lowest transport risk in the Samara region (60 killed at 100 thousands vehicles) and the highest in the Chuvash Republic (139 killed at 100 thousands vehicles). In comparison with the world in the accident, in Russia transport risks remain very high. The countries of Western Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and several other developed countries define «the best modern practices» on the index of transport risks – 10 killed at 100 thousands vehicles. In Russia the level of risks of transport amounted to an average of 70 deaths per 100 thousand of vehicles, which is more than twice the historical trims the past decades. For increase of safety of traffic on the roads of Russia must establish national road network to meet the transport needs generated by the actual level of motorization and national views on the price of life, time and health of citizens. |
