| Title of the article | The methodology of development of the surroundings based on the identifying of the geometric shape of the tree crown for students of architectural and engineering universities |
| Abstract. | There are different methods of creative styling to develop surroundings. One of these techniques is the stylization of natural objects based on the allocation of the geometric shape of the crown as one of the main parameters that characterizes the stylized object. All the variety of characteristic forms of the trees can be attributed to simple geometric shapes: square, rectangle, circle, trapezoid, triangle, oval and others (img.). Styling method, which uses the formal geometric features is called geometric stylization and gives many examples of entourage. The series of styling steps are described below. Step one – search, preparation and study for photographic models – the prototype plant trees and shrubs. Step Two – specification and classification. Here a realistic image turns into stylized patterns in ink on tracing paper in the photo. Further classification is performed on the geometry of the trees crown shape for further styling. Step Three – artistic transformation – includes a stylized image of trees and shrubs. This is a first approach to styling: at this stage realistic images of objects styling become «slightly» stylized. The use of combinations of different types of lines in a single model provides a large number of examples of «light» styling. Step Four – artistic exaggeration – is in conscious replacement of the parts of real objects by abstract elements and in a multiple-decoration of the stylized plants. Stylized image at this stage involves a significant transformation of the real nature models into the abstract model. At this stage to picture the shrubs and trees all the graphic tools such as point, line, bar, spot, fill, copyrights, or decorative ornamental motifs can be used at the same time. All this methods will provide many different variants of the stylized images with a high degree of abstraction. Table shows the examples of the entourage that were developed in accordance with the method of geometric stylization. |
