Title of the articleThe results of modeling of new constructive solutions of sandwich panels with vertical reinforcing elements
Abstract.Due the process of manufacture of the sandwich panels with a metal shells and middle layer made from mineral lamella, regularly spaced longitudinal and butt joints are emerged in the middle layer. For increasing of load bearing capacity of these panels installing of the vertical reinforce elements during the process of manufacturing is proposed. In the article results of analysis different finite element models (FEM) of panels with 100 and 150 mm thickness and different reinforced elements pattern are reviewed. FEM analysis helped to obtain the failure criteria, consisting from whether local buckling of shells and vertical reinforcing elements or compress failure of middle layer, for these panels. Also maximum allowed vertical load has been calculated. As a result of FEM analysis of the sandwich panels, with middle layer from lamella of mineral thermal insulation material, dependence between amount of reinforcing elements and load capacity of these panels was determined. 2 or 9 reinforcing elements increase load capacity of 100 mm thick panels from 7 up to 40 %, and 150 mm thick panels from 18 % to 94 %, respectively. Thickness of reinforcing elements also affects the load capacity of panels the more thickness suggested the more load capacity is achieved. For example in 100 mm thick panels, with 5 reinforcing elements, using buckling of shell as failure criteria, increasing of thickness of reinforcing element from 0,6 mm up to 1mm alters load capacity in positive way from 3 % to 16 % for 150 mm thick panels with 9 reinforcing elements – from 18 to 94 %.
