Title of the articleInfluence of cements of low water requirement on degree swellings of dusty soil
Abstract.In many regions of Russia – in its European part and even in Siberia,– there is a large amount of dusty loams which are subject to frosty swelling. Usually, they are strengthened by inorganic knitting materials, traditionally by ordinary cement or slag cement. The purpose of the study was the assessment of extent of swelling of the dusty adobe strengthened by cement (knitting) to low water requirement (CNV) on the basis of a cindery and slagwaste from hydrodumps and the evils ablations, the Okino-Klyuchevsky coals which were formed at burning in units of Gusinoozerskaya GRES in number of 16 % from weight of soil. Extent of frosty swelling determined by two methods: 1) on disperse composition of the initial and strengthened soil; definition of granulometric (grain) composition of clay soil and strengthened CNV-30 in number of 16 % from weight of soil determined by an areometrichesky method a way of measurement of density of suspension the areometer in the course of its upholding. It is shown that after processing of soil of 16 % by structure CNV-30 subject to frosty swelling, there is an «oversanding» of dusty particles that, in turn, conducts to decrease and the complete termination to swelling of soil of a road bed. 2) on size of swelling of its surface at complete volume freezing (GOST 28622). As a result after testing of unfortified soil the thickness of the chilled layer in a sample of soil exceeded 35 mm. At calculation, relative deformation of frosty swelling made 0,3 therefore dusty loam according to GOST 28622-90 is excessively bulking up. Thus, soil strengthened by cement of low water requirement (16 % from weight of soil) after test had insignificant thickness of volume freezing – 8 mm. Calculation showed that relative deformation makes 0,009. Therefore, process of frosty swelling is stopped completely. Thus, it is shown that it is possible to strengthen the soil subjects, exposed to frosty swelling, by cements of low water requirement with the small maintenance of a klinker – CNV-30.
