Abstract.The industry of building materials is a resource – intensive field. It is suggested to shorten sharply the spending of minerals, fuel, and electric energy by large-scale implementation of resource-saving technologies provided that natural raw material will be partly replaced by manufacturing waste and domestic household waste, for example, refuse burnout, cinders, phosphogypsum, savings, worn – out auto tires etc. The research has indicated that radiation technology with high technical and economic performances can contribute greatly to the solution of major problems of the field.
