Title of the article | The designing of curriculum in engineering university |
Abstract. | The essence of curriculum is described in the article. The main features of the curriculum are discovered. There are three levels of curriculum designing: strategic, conceptually organizational, and structurally component. Elements of every level are described. The main features of bachelor curriculum designing are: participation of employers in curriculum designing, mutual assessment of graduates’ competence. In order for the student to be free in changing their curriculum, (freedom of choice to transfer to different universities, entering the master’s programme in different universities) variant part of the curriculum is divided into two parts basic and selective one. The mobility of graduates is guaranteed by module principle of curriculum designing. The examples of modules of two specialities, engineering and vocational training are presented in this article. Designing of the modules is carried out with the regard to professional activities of the graduates. The article might be interesting to teaching methods specialists, post-graduates and teachers of engineering universities. |
