Title of the articleCracking of dispersion-reinforced concrete in terms of fracture mechanics
Abstract.The task of assessing the nature of cracking and deformation of dispersion-reinforced concrete, receiving the tensile, bending and compressive forces, is one of the most urgent. Its solution can be achieved with the use of the provisions contained in the well-known theory of cracks and fracture mechanics methods. But first you must determine the criteria. It is clear that in such a complex material like concrete not one but two-and multi-parameter criteria are more effective. Along with the standard terms of fracture mechanics to reinforced concrete-dispersion it is necessary to make two assumptions. First, we assume that the initial crack length is equal to the size of the cell reinforcing weave and, secondly, the force that creates a «compression» crack is known and equal to the force in the dispersed reinforcement. Taking into account these assumptions, the solution of equations for the calculation scheme reinforced the element of micro-crack is performed using the Laurent series. This allows us to establish that an increase in stiffness of reinforcement and the decrease of the step (i.e., increase dispersion of the reinforcement), the stress intensity factor decreases and the effort to crack, according to Irwin's criterion, will increase.
