| Abstract. | Occurrence of universities in the Western Europe and Russia is connected with growth of cities, adjustment of the international commercial relations and necessity for competent experts. Italy where in 1158 the first university has been created became the optimum country for formation of higher educational institutions. Preservation of traditions in formation, culture, the relation to university buildings and the ensembles which are monuments of architecture became distinctive feature of the first universities. In article features lay-outs structures of the first universities are revealed and initial education systems in Russia and abroad are defined. |
