Abstract.The purpose of this work is the optimization of condition of petroleum bio-decomposition by application of aboriginal hydrocarbon-oxidizing microorganisms, analysis of impact of nutrient and biocatalytic compounds on the efficiency of bio-oxidation. Physical and chemical characteristics of sewage: temperature 22-24 °C, pH between 7,2 to 9,2, chemical oxygen demand (COD) between 604,8 to 858 mg/dm3, O2 concentrations at 1,5 to 6 mg?dm3, non – organic nitrogen levels (NH4, NO2 and NO3) between 10 to 35 mg?dm3, phosphorus concentration at 0,3-2,2 mg?dm3, petroleum levels up to 183 mg?dm3, phenol concentration up to 20 mg?dm3, levels of glycols at up to 250 mg?dm3, level-sof surfactants at up to 20 mg?dm3. The concentration ratio of nutrient compound varied depending apron the level of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD total):N:P in the range between 100:2,5:0,5 to 100:20:4, and levels of induction compounds range from 35?10-6 M to 150?10-6 M. Aftertreatment of waste was based on precipitation for two hours, with the subsequent settlement of microorganisms in the jet settler.
