| Abstract. | In recent years Chinese cities are growing rapidly. The developer has become a major figure in the construction industry. Money, benefits and profits control the industry now. World-renowned architects realize their experiments here. China is faced with large environmental problems. Moreover, long built skyscrapers have become outdated at the time of completion of construction. Chinese architecture is trying to find its identity in these difficult conditions. Complex problems require ingenious solutions. Where to find these solutions? Maybe the answer will be find in the traditional architecture of the period of China's Emperors. Or in silence of Chinese garden. At the same time, we must bear in mind the traditional philosophy, respect for nature, lifestyles of the Chinese people. Should we blindly copy these solutions, would they work in our reality? I tried to analyze the main ways of expressing identity in architecture in China and considered examples of their implementation. |
