Title of the articleEvaluation of bearing capacity of the soil-structure
Abstract. It is offered a method of determining the limit load and settlement of structure-soil system within plasticity, creep, nonlinear elasticity, dilatancy, changes porosity and strength characteristics of the soil over time, and depending on the process of excavation. Drucker-Prager criterion used as a criterion of soil strength. In this paper we consider the problem of gradual excavation for foundation pit near neighboring buildings. The calculation was performed in several stages. Initially, the weight of the soil and the wall applied, and then the external load from nearby buildings applied. After the relative stabilization of the solution the gradually excavation process simulated. The problem is solved by finite element method using isoparametric three dimensional finite element with eight nodes. The influence of the depth of the recess under the pit, viscosity parameters, porosity and dilatancy at maximum load was researched.
Keywords.Soil mechanics, creep, plasticity, limit load, finite element method.
