Title of the article | Cognitive approach in the history of design |
Abstract. | The modern theory of history was replenished with new tools. The concept of cognitive approach, its main features is considered. On the basis of experience of cognitive history of O.M. Medushevskaya the parallel with evolutionary processes in design is drawn, and also an attempt of application of cognitive approach for studying of history of design is made, using author's phenomenological, phenomenal and geographical approaches. It is the new tool recommended for application in historical and theoretical disciplines for students of speciality «architect-designer». Cognitive approach together with multilinear (synergetic) approach, from our point of view, can become the new tool in the description (scientific representation) of design history. On the one hand, it will allow to gain highly specialized knowledge of design history, and with another – more complete and objective picture of its development. Transition to nonlinear studying of history of design represents difficult process, however it becomes more and more obvious that it is an important task in formation of complex multidimensional knowledge of design history. |
