Title of the article | Productivity Improvement of Machine Control Systems Using new Global Satellite Positioning Systems |
Abstract. | The aim of application of construction machinery guidance system is to gain maximal conformance to design with considerable saving of cost and time. In addition to this retrenchment of costs on engineering works, fuel saving and increase in machines motor operating time are achieved. The most effective are considered to be control complexes with the use of satellite systems GPS/GLONASS. The main idea of application of construction machinery guidance system is to determine the location and end-point control of the machine directly in the process of earth-work operations for the purpose of copying the design in-situ with the maximum accuracy. 3D systems are considered to be the most effective in the process of earth-work operations. Application of 3D construction machinery guidance systems provides considerable increase in effectiveness and productivity of earth-work operations process. Principally new quality and accuracy boundaries of projects realization with considerable time and cost savings are gained. In addition to global positioning systems GPS and GLONASS already functioning in the standard operating mode, other global and regional navigation satellite systems are being actively joined. |
