Title of the article | CITY UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC TRANSPORT DOES NOT HAVE ALTERNATIVE |
Abstract. | One of difficult social questions of the majority of large cities is public transport work on which work the mood and health of people, and, hence, their working capacity considerably depends. In our opinion, the city ground transport is one of the main things hidden, catalysts of growth of cars and, as consequence, environmental setting deterioration in a city. As the deterrent of growth of negative consequences transition of a land municipal transportation to ecologically pure drives can serve. But the city environment, its rhythm of movement, presence of transitions, traffic signals, traffic stream density, restriction of its mode of movement, do not allow to raise its average speed. Not casually, still one and a half centuries ago town-planners have come to conclusion, that the best way of the decision of a transport problem is use offstreet high-speed electric transport. Brake of its development there is a high cost of a construction. The decision of some technical and technological problems will allow to cut expenses and to increase inflow of investments to its building. |
