| Abstract. | The article describes the main stages of the urban development of the historic Russian town of Oka basin – Tula. The article gives a brief characteristic of each historical stage of development of the city, including unrealised projects in his conversion, influenced the urban structure. The article analyzes and compares project plans and actual implementation of concepts for the reconstruction of the city; attitude can be traced to the historical core of the city and the monuments of architecture in different eras. Provides an overview of the conceptual directions of further urban development of the city. |
