Title of the article | COEVOLUTION OF CONSUMPTION AND SPATIAL FORMATION. THEORY OF CONSUMPTION |
Abstract. | There is a strong global connection between processes of consumption and spatial formation of architectural space. Five types of consumption and appropriate spatial systems were exposed by author. They are: natural consumption (archetype habitation and settlement); closed consumption system (ancient settlement, clan – city, city – state); territorial consumption system (city as the functional unit of consumption system); state as the consumption system (city – colony, interaction of the systems); corporative net of consumption (global city). This hypothesis lead to the point of view, according to which, the next stage of spatial evolution could be the resource-saving form of architecture and consumption. |
