Abstract. | The aim of the work was to research the socio-cultural and intellectual context influence over the interaction of constructivism and natural light. In the course of the research the role of the natural light in the soviet avant-garde architecture has been defined. Image of a «bright future» formed in the literature of post-revolutionary period, Kazimir Malevich’s concept of non-objectivity, Futurist’s searching of «natural sound», as well as the development of knowledge about the physical properties of light influenced on the understanding of the concept «light» in the architecture were considered. Principles of interaction of the Soviet avant-garde architecture with the natural light were elicited. Light is a mean for uncovering of the spatial structure of an object. It is also a metaphor of a «bright future», that strength the ideological positions of the new state. The abundance of the natural light becomes one of the most important principles of the space formation. |
