| Abstract. | In the middle of the 20th century architectural processes in Kazan were very intense. The architects set serious goals: developing the problems of monumental architecture, architectural image, ensemble, mastering of architectural heritage. Particular interest is the work of an outstanding master of architecture I.G. Gainutdinov, who marked the beginning of the professional study of the architectural heritage of Tatarstan, wide use of its progressive traditions in modern architecture on the example of outstanding craftsmanship structures, thereby creating the basis of the architectural school of the Soviet Tatarstan, national in a form, socialistic in content. The article is devoted to one of the most significant architectural objects of I.G. Gainutdinov, cultural monument of national importance, the theatre of Opera and ballet named after M. Jalil in Kazan. The author of the article described and analyzed the design and artistic solution of the Opera and ballet theatre named after Musa Jalil, identified composite, shaping and decolourise principles of the architectural object, which became the basis of the creative method of architect I.G. Gainutdinov. According to the results of studies was made a table on the application of national Tatar folk ornaments on the facades and in the interiors of the building. Archival photographs were introduced into the scientific use. |
