Title of the article | The influence of solar radiation on the temperature mode of the road pavement |
Abstract. | The aim of the work is to investigate the influence of solar radiation on the highway pavement temperature regime. Road pavement temperature is a determining factor of the winter slipperiness formation. The authors propose the procedure for calculating the equivalent ambient temperature in the boundary conditions of the non-stationary heat equation. Such approach allows consider the sunlight influence on the road surface temperature. A program has been developed for automatic calculations the equivalent temperature is performed on meteorological parameters (air temperature, overcast, wind speed) and road parameters (geographical location and the azimuth of a road segment, a longitudinal slope, an absorption coefficient of the road pavement). The calculation can be done for any date and for any time of the day. On the basis of the modeling results change of the equivalent temperature in the months of producing works on winter road maintenance has been studied. The diurnal course of the equivalent temperature and its change depending on the geographical width of the considered highway segment has been analyzed. Meteorological and road parameters which make the greatest impact on the studied size have been revealed. The results of the investigation are presented for clear demonstration in the form of graphs. |
