| Title of the article | Use of automated road weather station to ensure safe motion on the roads |
| Abstract. | The work purpose is to provide the qualitative and effective maintenance of highways during the winter period, to raise efficiency of work of contract organizations under the maintenance and the main thing under the prevention of formation of winter slipperiness because now road accident is one of the most serious problems in the Republic of Tatarstan and a considerable quantity of failures occurs during the winter time caused by bad road conditions and insufficient visibility. Now for reception the operative meteorological information on highways it is offered to use the automated systems of meteorological maintenance of the traffic, specialized automatic road meteorological stations including in the structure (ARMS). The considerable quantity of the processed information is necessary for the effective organization of the road maintenance, high efficiency requirements cause creation and use of the automated control system management (ACS), using modern information technology. For the purpose of increase the efficiency of management and efficiency of ARMS it is expedient to create the uniform ACS of the maintenance of highways (ACS the MH). During the summer period also can be used effectively ARMS at planning and the organization of works. Introduction of the automated meteorological stations in frameworks of the ACS the MH on a network of highways of the Republic of Tatarstan, will roughly provide road accident decrease on 15-30 % that is almost commensurable with expenses for acquisition, installation and operation of the automated meteorological stations. |
