Title of the article | Road-building material on the basis of local mineral materials treated with complex astringent |
Abstract. | The development of the road network – the key issue of the road workers at all times. Civil engineering – is a very materials consumption industry. In the absence of the Republic of Tatarstan quality stone material proposed to handle local light carbonate rubble complex binder. The structure of complex mineral binder included cement, active mineral supplement –diatomite. Diatomaceous earth – a natural nano-material, a siliceous rocks composed of tiny opalescent wings of ancient diatoms – diatoms. Upon mixing it with the Portland cement has puzzolanic effect. Introduction of diatomite can reduce the amount of basic binder - cement and improve the physical and mechanical properties of the treated material. In the Test Road Research and Production Center of the Institute of transport facilities Kazan State Architectural University conducted an experimental laboratory research on the treatment of rubble and soil grade 400 such complex binder. Analysis of the results obtained during the experimental laboratory studies, allows to draw conclusions about the appropriateness of diatomite in road construction. Introduction of diatomite has a positive effect on physical and mechanical properties of the material. Developed and designed pavement structure of rural roads using the resulting material. Applications designed to reduce the cost of material of the pavement in comparison with conventional designs by 40-60 %. |
