Title of the article | Research on thermal and hydraulic characteristics of floor convectors with free convection |
Abstract. | In recent years a new type of convectors with both natural and forced convectors enters into the market of domestic heating appliances. The constructive solution of that heating device allows using it in designing of heating systems for buildings with the increased glass area and enhanced humidity levels. One of the basic characteristics of any thermal heating device is its heat emission, which magnitude mainly depends on its design features. In addition, the magnitude of the heat flow also depends from temperature loads and flow rate of heat transfer agent through the device. The numerical values of these quantities are necessary in carrying out of thermal calculation of heating appliances in the designing of heating system. In the modern reference literature such data for the floor convectors are absent. One of the major problems in designing of heating systems is a hydraulic calculation, which predetermines the correctness of operation of the system. Such calculation is not possible to produce without the numerical values of the hydraulic characteristics of the floor convectors. In this situation it became necessary to test a series of floor convectors with natural convection. |
