Abstract. | In this paper we analyzed effect of the amount and type of fiber on the start time of crack development in concrete, Steel-Fiber-Reinforced-Concrete, Fiberglass Reinforced Concrete and Steel-Glass-Reinforced concrete. In order to bring the test results to real conditions, in cooperation with the management of reinforced concrete items plant «Kazmetrostroy» and plant laboratory staff and representatives of the NGO «Magnitogorsk fiber-Story», traditional ingredients of concrete mixture were used same mixtures as those used in making concrete blocks lining tunnels of Kazan subway. To determine the deformation properties fiber concrete standard samples were made. Diagrams of concrete deformation changes under bending stress increases were drawn based on the test results. Studies have shown that a two-level reinforcement matrix glass and steel fiber allows longer and increased load bearing work of concrete in flexed state. A significant increase up to 5-8 times in the time before the cracking starts was achieved. An increase in the time period to complete destruction of the fiber-reinforced concrete has increased up to 15-20 times. |
