Abstract. | Problem statement. The solution of the problem of developing new sleepers designs ensuring their quality improvement, reducing the cost and prolonging their service life by ensuring the damping of the sleepers with vibrations and shocks during rolling stock movement. Results. Sleepers serve as supports for rails and the main purpose of sleepers is to transfer the pressure from the rails to the ballast prism and to ensure the consistency of the track width and the stability of the track. Conclusions. The significance of the results obtained for the construction of railways is that the proposed construction of glued wood sleepers is resistant to temperature changes compared to reinforced concrete sleepers and its service life reaches 39-40 years. |
