Title of the article | Durability of asphalt concrete on low-strength rubble with sulfur |
Abstract. | In the Republic of Tatarstan there is a large number of weak rubble sedimentary origin, which is not suitable for use. As every year the volume of associated sulfur – waste oil and gas industry, the use of which has not yet been found. To solve these problems, a method of producing asphalt concrete on the basis of sedimentary rubble treated molten sulfur. It was shown that the strength of the weak rubble after sulfur treatment increases, and asphalt on the basis of such material becomes suitable for use in the construction of the roadway. Studied aspects of durability obtained asphalt. Experimentally established its high frost-resistance. Also studied the fatigue strength of asphalt concrete, which reaches a relatively high value and exceeds the indicator of the same asphalt on the basis of high granite rubble. Based on these studies we can conclude that the obtained asphalt has relatively good performance in fatigue strength and cold resistance, which indirectly characterizes its high durability. |
