| Abstract. | The article describes the impact of globalization on the current terminology in the architecture, the basic ways of forming terms. To determine the basic principles of functional and composite images and patterns in the transformation of gardens and parks, the analysis of the history of the formation of the terms and objects of landscape art in Russia was made. The principles of creation and the basic meaning of these terms in different periods of development were described. A comparative analysis of the structural, functional status and planning of the park and garden was presented. The regularities of their placement in the planning structure of the city were identified. The article analyzes the meanings of the word «Park» in English, French and German. Studied the derivatives of the word park: «park», «flooring», «parking», «parkur». As a result of the historically-semantic analysis and synthesis more accurate, concise and succinct definition of the park and garden are formulated. Revealed three different semantic meaning of the word «park». Studied the shaping of the word «garden». Presented a historical analysis of the image of the prePetrine gardens and palaces and parks of the Petrine epoch. Also, considered their meaning and transformation in the Soviet period. According to the results of the analysis revealed the modern sense of the word «garden». Special attention is given to the description of the image of historical park and garden, in order to identify relationships and patterns in the historical process of development of two main objects of landscape art cities of Russia. For better perception of historical analysis identified three periods: before Peter the Great (ancient Rus – XVIII c.), Peter's (XVIII-XX centuries) and the Soviet XXth century. |
