| Abstract. | In this article, the authors examine the existing language in the professional definition of «supergraphics». The term supergraphics introduced in the 1970s, the American architect Charles Moore. He noted that the main feature of supergraphics is the active interaction with the form, due to independence of color-themed graphics relative to three-dimensional shape. A more detailed definition of supergraphics we can find in the famous dictionary-reference for design released by experts of MArchI. Today supergraphics takes more new and complex shapes and forms. In this case it is necessary to talk about the new design and artistic techniques as «supergaphics» approach in architecture and design of the city, aimed at active color-themed graphic conversion on the visual level, forming architectural volumes and built environment. It was also indicated by the four stages of formation and peculiarities of «supergraphics approach». Such as architectural shaping of atektonic color-themed graphic compositions (until midtwentieth century), architectural supergraphics in the city (the second half of the twentieth century), street art in pedestrian spaces of the city (the end of the twentieth century), autonomous dynamic light-graphic compositions in the space of the city. Certainly collected and systematized material has a specific scientific interest. They are quite reasonable considering supergraphics as a special approach in the transformation of the architectural environment of the city The study of this issue is of great interest to the architectural science and practice. The authors dedicate their article to this urgent issue. |
