| Abstract. | The article is devoted to a problem of research of wooden architecture of Kazan. The questions of wooden architecture’s allocation in structure of the city and its landscape are considered. The buildings varied on density, typology and stylistics. The structure of scenery of the Volga city included scale and composition of architectural space, planting of greenery, city transportation, elements of accomplishment. The former ensemble of the Popova Gora Street is a typical example of professional urban wooden architecture of Kazan. The author’s graphic reconstructions of appearance of wooden Kazan streets are offered. |
