| Abstract. | The article describes the testing provisions in the practical design of theoretical principles of scientific research related to the inclusion of contemporary architecture in the historical environment of the city, considered in the context of the international design workshop on «Documentation of San Niccolo territory in the historic centre of Florence, Italy. The analysis for the development of proposals for recovery and requalification of the urban landscape», held in the Italian city of Florence in November 2012. Community development is changing the organizational system of the city, which serves as an expression of its spatial structure. The historical process pushes more and more demands on the urban environment. New norms of relations between people and new social structures are expressed in new images and forms that are emerging in the new architectural and urban systems. Regeneration, integration and activation of cultural and historical heritage are increasingly seen as the driving force behind the development of historic cities as a whole (heritage-led regeneration). Thus, policies for the conservation and recovery of the architectural heritage is based on the principles of vitalization and integration of the heritage with the daily life of the city and turning it into an integral and indispensable element of modern urban environment. |
