Title of the article | Research and development of measures for the restoration of concrete structures of cooling towers |
Abstract. | The paper presents the results of surveys of Kazan CHP-2 tower. The reasons for failure of concrete structures are explored. Based on the survey the activities aimed at restoring the armatures and the main body of concrete are developed. Optimal compositions for converting rust are selected. The active component contributing to the transformation of the oxides and hydroxides of iron the phosphoric acid and acetic acid was used. Spent structures were applied as aqueous solutions and in concentrated form. In order to prevent acid corrosion of cement stone in the area of contact with armatures reconstructed surface was treated with alkaline solutions. The experience of an integrated-capillary systems (ICS) to restore and improve the quality of concrete was studied. By X-ray diffraction method the effect of ICS on the structure formation of cement stone was studied. It is established that ICS increases content the of hydro-silicates calcium of in the hydration products of Portland cement, which, in turn, helps to increase strength and corrosion resistance of the surface of the main massif of concrete. Electron microscopy revealed that ICS promotes the to decrease in the size of grains of new growths of hydrated Portland cement, a higher growth rate and density of crystallization contacts between grains hydrated of Portland cement, as well as the adhesion strength between new growths. A comprehensive study of the issues of reinstatement of reinforced concrete structures, and processes occurring in the material using accepted technological solutions have shown the effectiveness of interventions for reconstruction of cooling towers. |
