Title of the article | Effect of aging under the impact factor of the operational environment on the biological resistance of materials |
Abstract. | In modern conditions more stringnent requirements are imposed to durability and reliability of buildings. According to it, special attention is being given to the materials and constructions, subject to the risk of biological degradation. Obviously, the research of biological resistance of materials and their proper selection, depending on the specific operating conditions, reduce the biological impacts on structures and products, which in turn provides a more reliable and stable work of buildings and constructions. Microorganisms are able to occupy the surfaces of all kinds of tested binders that are widely used in obtaining building designs and products. However, the species and quantitative structures under identical operating conditions are different. Comparing the number of species and genera of fungi growing on the samples of binding, it is possible to define efficiency of application of those or other building composites and to choose the most suitable materials for corresponding service conditions It is experimentally shown that composites based on unacid binder and liquid glass have increased resistance to biologically aggressive environments. Results of experiments again confirm the presence of appropriate selectivity in the choice of building materials and protective coatings, depending on specific conditions and preventive actions to prevent or minimize the likelihood of settlement for these microscopic organisms. |
