Title of the article | Approximate method for calculating the hereditary theory of creep deformation and comparision with the incremental theory |
Abstract. | In this paper, a comparison of creep strain on hereditary and incremental theories. Found that at a constant load creep strain results by different theories may be very different. At variable load theory also give very different results. Thus, the incremental theory and hereditary creep theory are not interchangeable in the case of stress, time-varying (e.g., in the case of relaxation phenomena, cyclic loading). Consequently, in describing the behavior of soils, it is desirable to assume that creep deformation consist of two parts, one of which is determined by the hereditary theory creep, and the second – on Incremental theory. Developed a method for calculating the creep strain for hereditary creep theory in four of their values at different points in time. Deformation function approximation gives sufficiently close to the original function. The paper analyzes the convergence of the solution on the number of time steps. |
