Title of the article | Nonconventional methods of obtaining geothermal energy |
Abstract. | This work studies the possibilities and economic feasibility of using the energy of earth and ground water, which is very important while the problems of energy- and resource-saving in construction are extremely acute. The classification of the main types of geoenergetic systems that can be successfully used for heating, hot water, air conditioning, heating open fields of the stadiums, parking lots, entrance stages and etc. is given as a result of conducted research. Despite the obvious advantages of Geothermy it has not found wide-spread applications in our country. This is largely due to economic reasons. In this regard the non-traditional methods for producing geothermal energy, which allow to reduce capital expenditure, have been proposed in this work. In particular, it is possible to exclude drilling for installation of geosystems, by using the previously drilled boreholes but now preserved because of its unprofitability or other reasons. The fund of these wells is very large, including the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Another direction to reduce the costs, connected with the extraction of geothermal energy was suggested. This is the rejection of traditional mode of installation of heat exchangers. To the exclusion of: 1) the earthworks required for the installation of horizontal heat exchangers; 2) drilling when using vertical ground heat exchangers. To implement this idea it is supposed to incorporate heat exchangers embedded in the recessed structural elements of buildings, such as pile foundations, basement walls, and underground facilities of transport and industrial purposes. Then the payback period could be reduced by half, and geothermal type of energy could become more competitive. |
