Abstract. | The article discusses the features of the production of a new generation of heat exchangers based on spring-twisted channels using laser welding technology. Laser welding is used to secure the hard turns tightly wound spring together. There were marked features of laser welding spring-twisted channels. These include: - The quality of welded joints is highly dependent on the quality and accuracy of manufacture of the spring: the diameter fluctuation of turns from straightness over the entire length of the spring, the gap between the turns, the end turns quality scuffing. - When welding a continuous laser witness samples on the mandrel was found that because of some of the longitudinal, transverse shrinkage stress and reduced diameter welded spring. Therefore, for a given size coiled spring-channel must consider this effect and to increase the diameter of the spring preform. When welding pulsed laser radiation and thermal attachment, respectively, residual stress is less. - Laser welding cold-worked spring is a significant change in its geometric dimensions due to stress relief. - Performance continuous laser welding laser is 1,5 times higher laser welding in pulsed mode. The paper also addressed the issue of quality control of welding, which is divided into two stages: the control of the welding process; quality control of welded joints. To control internal defects welds spring-twisted channels (pores, cracks, lack of fusion) held pneumohydraulic test. To check the quality of welds spring-twisted the channel with welded pipes immersed in a water bath and fill it with purified and dried air, under pressure. Oh no integrity welds are judged by the appearance of gas bubbles coming from the spring-coiled channel. The greatest pressure of air supplied to the spring-twisted channel Pmax = 10 atm. |
