Title of the article | Hydraulic and heat engineering characteristics of heaters made of concrete |
Abstract. | Heaters from concrete are widely used in radiant panel heating systems, because they meet strict to sanitary, architectural requirements, have good thermal characteristics and have a high value of the thermal stress of the metal. For the designing of such heating systems it is necessary to have data on the hydraulic and thermal characteristics of concrete heaters, which have a cross-cutting holes of trapezoidal forms. These data are necessary for conducting a hydraulic calculation of system heating and thermal calculation of heating appliances. Specific resistance and the inflow coefficient for the node of heater in the real range of flow rates were experimentally determined in this work. The comparison of the obtained experimental data with the calculated data shows good convergence. Dependence of the heat transfer coefficient from the coolant flow rate in the radiator and the temperature difference was obtained in the thermal tests. The results obtained can be used in the designing of radiant panel heating systems. |
Keywords. | concrete radiator, the coefficient of local resistance, wicking coefficient, the coefficient of heat transfer, heat flux density. |
