| Abstract. | Method of the foundation-shell construction on the compacted soil «block» base is presented. The soil «block» is formed with a special tapered stamp and corresponds to the inner form of the reinforced concrete shell. Results of in-situ and numerical tests are shown to be the basis of the method of the bearing capacity design. The results of the determination of the form and size of the soil zone under compaction in the foundation-shell base by data of soil mass CPT and after the compaction are shown. The results of the numerical tests for the rigid raft, the diameter of which is equal to the stamp diameter are also presented to estimate the expected foundation-shell settlement. The dynamic method of the bearing capacity estimation by data of the base compactness and design of the expected foundation-shell settlement are suggested. |
