Title of the article | Experimental studies of the stress-strain state of reinforced bases in clay soils |
Abstract. | The article presents the results of field testing of die-reinforced bases. Glass fiber was used as the reinforcing horizontal member. During the tests, measured vertical displacements and stresses in the core of the subgrade and sediment stamp. To determine the effectiveness of soil reinforcement were conducted pilot tests reinforced base. The tests revealed that the single layer reinforcing clay base results in an increase in bearing capacity of 1,35 times the base. Effectiveness of reinforced bases increases with increasing precipitation structures. Stress-strain state reinforced base is markedly different from the stress-strain state of reinforced base. Introduction reinforcing element transforms the stress distribution in the core base. Stresses concentrate in an area of the reinforcing layer and decrease in the area below it. Redistribution of the active area in the vertical stress is reinforced based on depth amount 1,0-1,25 d from the base of the stamp, and in width by up to 1,0 d from the axis of the die. The test results showed high efficiency of reinforcement to increase the bearing capacity of foundations in clay soils. |
