Title of the article | Research of foundation pit enclosing structure of subterranean additional building during reconstruction of the Shamovskiy Hospital in Kazan |
Abstract. | The article presents the technical solutions for the reconstruction of the Shamovskiy hospital building – an architectural monument, built in 1907-1910 in Kazan. Reconstruction involves the construction of a fourstoreyed additional building to the existing building in the underground design. With implementation of the proposed architectural solutions, a number of issues related to the sustainability of the base foundations in the development of a deep excavation in the vicinity of the building take place. The authors proposed solutions to strengthen the bases and foundations of the existing building of the Shamovskiy hospital – the construction of retaining wall. As part of the detailed design, the authors have solved the following problems: – development of technological solutions to strengthen the bases and foundations of the existing Shamovskiy hospital building; – development of a constructive solution of foundation pit enclosing structure; – developing measures to ensure the stability of enclosing structure at the time of excavation of soil in the foundation pit and further exploitation; – development of technological sequence of fencing and excavation of soil in the foundation pit. In order to strengthen the base and the foundations of the existing building it is recommended to apply the CFA piles and high-pressure injection of grout into the ground base. Stability of enclosing structure from bored piles is provided by combined system of a dirt berm and a multi-tiered system of the spacer. |
