Title of the article | On the issue of improving the repair of cracks in pavements |
Abstract. | Problem statement. The purpose of the research is to improve the quality of repair and restoration work on pavements by improving the repair equipment, reducing the financial costs of the work, and minimizing the human participation in the repair work. Results. The main result of the study is the development of universal mounted milling equipment that can sequentially perform the following pavement repair operations: milling cracks to the required depth and width, cleaning them from milled granulate, dirt, dust, moisture and pouring (filling) into a bitumen crack heated by milling, thus ensuring reliable adhesion of the repair material to the road surface material. The result of this work is a firmly sealed crack. Conclusions. The significance of the results obtained for the road-building industry consists in improving the quality of repair and restoration work on road surfaces through the use of the developed universal mounted milling equipment for repairing cracks in the road surfaces by sealing method. |
