| Abstract. | In the article summed up the preliminary results of a study of development of urban culture of the Volga-Kamya in X- the middle XVI centuries in the States: the Volga-Kama Bulgaria, Bulgarian Ulus the Golden Horde and the Kazan Khanate. It was found that in the period under review, with the emergence of new states in the region changed the system of settlement and urban culture. During this period, in the Volga-Camiers each of these states had their own capital with a characteristic spatial structure: concentric, linearly extended or sectorial. The common traditional feature of the medieval capitals of the Volga-Kamya was a single east-Muslim r typology of cult, memorial and public buildings, Log-wood and brick-stone technique erection of residential and public buildings. |
